In our morning worship service, we are studying Matthew 2:13-23. This difficult passage reminds us that Jesus was born into a world where he faced persecution as a person without power. We, too, as followers of Jesus, are invited to enter in to places of hurt in our world and to be the hands and feet of God’s love. Let us consider the following questions together:
- What would you name as one of the biggest areas of hurt in our world today?
- Mr. Rogers often said, “Look for the helpers”—how have you seen individuals or organizations making a difference in this area?
- Where and how do you see our congregation making a difference in the world? Where can we grow in this next year and the years to come?
