About Pastor KJ Wester

The Rev. KJ Wester (née Norris) has a passion for creating spaces where people of all ages and diverse backgrounds can come together to worship God and love one another. She is ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and installed as the Solo Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of DuPage in Bolingbrook, IL. In the broader church, KJ serves on the Council of Illinois Prairie Presbytery and as the Vice Moderator for the Synod of Lincoln Trails.

Pastor KJ received her M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2014. Before becoming a pastor, KJ taught science and coached a robotics team, served in jail ministry, and worked in an archeology museum. She loves hiking, puzzles, spicy foods, and her husband Blake. KJ and Blake celebrated their wedding at FPCD in early May of 2025. KJ and Blake share a home in the neighborhood of the church with their dog Belle and cat Hazel.
