Capital Campaign to Replace FPCD’s Weber Road Sign
FPCD’s sign facing Weber Road has been inoperable for approximately five years. As a result, many people in the Bolingbrook area do not know we exist or that we are a fully operational church. Earlier this summer, FPCD members and supporters made donations to repair the existing sign with parts that are now obsolete. However, it was decided that upgrading to newer technology would be a more sound investment and many of those who contributed agreed that those donations should go towards a brand new sign. Session recently approved a Capital Campaign through December 31, 2025 to raise money to upgrade our current sign to a Watchfire Electronic Messaging Center (EMC) sign.
With this modern technology, our ability to communicate to the Bolingbrook community will increase exponentially. We will be able to advertise all of the wonderful events and services that our congregation offers, including available space for partners and private events. Our message will remind passersby that all are welcome to join us in worship and that we are a diverse Christian community shining the light of God’s Love into the world.
FPCD needs $21,000 – $25,000 to make the sign upgrade a reality. During this holiday season, we ask that you prayerfully consider giving in special envelopes during Sunday services, and/or donate online here and please put “sign upgrade” in the memo line.
