The Prophet Jeremiah cries out to the people: “They have treated the wound of my people carelessly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14). In this season of Advent, as we focus on God’s Peace and our call to walk in that peace, let us look at examples of those who are working for peace in our world.

Matthew 25 PC(USA) Churches

The Presbyterian Mission Agency is inviting churches to join a movement called Matthew 25 where members focus on three areas: 1) Building congregational vitality 2) Dismantling structural racism 3) Eradicating systemic poverty. These three change areas bring much peace into our world.

St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Iowa

St. Andrew’s Church is using their building as both a Worship Center and a Community Center, much like FPCD is doing and hopes to do more of in the future!
