KJ Wester, Pastor

The Rev. KJ Wester (née Norris) has a passion for creating spaces where people of all ages and diverse backgrounds can come together to worship God and love one another. Pastor KJ was installed as the Solo Pastor of FPCD in 2022. She is ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has a M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Pastor KJ and her husband Blake live in Bolingbrook with their dog Belle and cat Hazel. You can find them out hiking, kayaking, or biking on a Sunday afternoon. Learn more about Pastor KJ here.

Kathy Comerford, Administrative Assistant

Kathy Comerford is the newest member of the FPCD team. She lives in Bolingbrook with her husband, and is pet parent to one dog. Kathy grew up in Oak Lawn with her four brothers and sisters, but her family eventually moved to the Missouri Ozarks when her father became minister at a small, country church. Kathy has worked as an administrative assistant for many years in various industries, and welcomes the opportunity to serve the FPCD community. She enjoys traveling, reading, playing pickleball, and walks with her best buddy.

Alex Amato, Music Director and Accompanist

Alex Amato is a collaborative pianist, leader, and choral director based in the Naperville area. Whether leading the choir from the podium or accompanying from the keys, Alex is passionate about enriching the worship experience and bringing people together through music. He has been a welcome addition to FPCD worship services for some time now, and we are delighted to officially welcome him as a staff member. He is currently studying Music Education at North Central College, serves as a sought-after accompanist throughout DuPage County, and is the founder and Artistic Director of the nonprofit organization, Amatones.
