Adult Education

First Presbyterian of DuPage offers an opportunity to gather in small groups and study the Bible. Each Wednesday, beginning February 21 at 7:30 pm for 6-weeks a new Bible study will begin. We meet at Hopvine Brewery in Aurora to dive into Adam Hamilton’s “Final Words from the Cross”.  It is an intimate group of people who gather and desire to learn more about the Bible.  We have a great time of fellowship and good eats as well.

Sunday Morning Adult Education

This class meets on Sunday mornings from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in room 104.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please join us for this new Bible Study as we go through Adam Hamilton’s Final Words from the Cross! Guaranteed to be very informational!

In life and in death, Jesus’ words were powerful and meaningful. Despite the serious effort and increased pain required for Jesus to speak as he hung on the cross, Jesus spoke seven “final words”—statements that have much to teach us about Jesus, his Father, and ourselves:

  • Father Forgive Them
  • Today You Will Be with Me in Paradise
  • Behold Your Son…Behold Your Mother
  • My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?
  • I Thirst
  • It Is Finished . . . Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit

Faith Group Bible Study

(Women’s Ministry)

Faith Group meets every Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 – 2:30 pm at the church. The purpose of our group is to study God’s word, and be able to apply it to our lives.
Faith Group reaches out into the community.  We send cards to people who are shut-ins, to those who are sick or may have had surgery.  Some members visit to those who are in need of company.  During the holidays we make up boxes of food and distribute to families in need. We as a group are here to serve our church family and the community in any way we can.  For questions, please feel free to contact, Barbara Petrie, 630.983.8805 or
